Brilliant acting by Demi Moore. Otherwise an utterly senseless and unnecessarily disgusting movie. Tries to make up for lack of a rich storyline by sheer shock value/ gross OTT visuals. Starts off promising (1st 10-20 mins or so), goes on to pathetic and banal and ends in absolutely revolting.

Very realistic portrayal of a grave matter. Covers hard-hitting facts about Laxmi’s case, laws governing acid attacks, what the victims go through and more. Also includes statistics uncovering how rampant acid attacks are. Good acting. Movie delivers a social message and has an overarching positive tone instead of being dramatically morose.
