This was my favourite book of all time but i think the movie let it down. It missed so many important points and in my opinion, Finch's death in the movie didn't really make sense because so many of the important details and points were either left out or changed. The whole backstory of Finch's dad was missing, even though the way Finch was treated by his dad was a big reason for his mental health and behaviour. The character of Ryan Cross, Violets boyfriend (before she falls for Finch) is merged with the character of Roamer which makes no sense. Even Finch's family members are left out, Finch's mother is absent for the whole movie, Finch's father has no appearance and his younger sister doesn't exist in the movie. The acting was great, and the casting was also great, but the plot was ruined. The book however, makes so much more sense and is 10X more emotional and descriptive. Would recommend the book 5/5 stars.
