Ahead of it's time as far as console shooters, I play newer games too but I dusted this one off out of the PS2 collection. Yeah it still packs a punch. It has widescreen support which is a plus. No progressive scan but it still looks ok on an HDTV. I can tell it influenced newer shooters like COD Black ops. As if the name doesn't give that away. It still holds up well today. The cut scenes can't be skipped and the story isn't that great but the gameplay is solid and the in game graphics are very solid for a PS2 game.

I originally wanted to watch this because it was shot with 70MM film. I'm glad I did. First of all I'm a Star Wars fan and it has Alec Guinness in it, but upon further review I must say that I believe George Lucas was quite inspired by this film. There are so many moments that I see that correlate to the Star Wars films it's amazing. It's an epic film and the first half is a bit slow but it's a great movie. Epic in scope and made when CGI wasn't used to create big scenes. The set pieces, extras and scenery is truly something to see. Great Movie

When I seen this on the Switch store I seen the name Neon Abyss and seen retro stylized graphics and shooting and thought of Neo Geo and Metal Slug. However upon seeing and reading the reviews and looking at the graphics. I can't help but feel maybe they should have used Metal Slug for inspiration and made the game look and play a little more like it. The idea of a game like Metal Slug with Neon touches to the graphics toned down a little in difficulty due to not having the need to have the player drop quarters would be great however it appears that's not what this was after all.

The plot is rediculous and the story is shallow, but it stays true to the classic Tom & Jerry characters. It's not very often I find myself literally laughing out loud while watching a movie, but watching this one I did and for that it gets lots of bonus points despite the shallow plot, because after all it's a comedy. It's supposed to make people laugh. The animation for Tom & Jerry in their classic form is also top notch. I give this one a thumbs up even if it has been trashed by a lot of critics.

I like this show it shows details about the origin of Superman and the planet he came from. One interesting observation I made about this show is that in order for Superman to come to earth and actually be Superman you have to root for the bad guys that destroy the planet instead of rooting for the good guys attempting to save it which makes for a cool plot twist.
