What amazed me most was how algorithms are designed to destroy truth. By catering to the users tastes in "attention retaining content", social media has skewed what the user believes to be true regardless of any factual evidence. A liberal researching "presidential candidates" will see Biden good - Trump bad information while a conservative doing the same search will see the exact opposite..... all based on the users previous search history and what type of information retained his or her attention longest.
Quoted in the movie:
"Only two industries call their customers users - illegal drugs and Software."
Think about that.
