I read the book. I was intrigued by all the press it was getting. I did however feel the need to be objective and really try to understand both sides. Honestly, I felt like it was poorly written. I felt sorry for her at some points, she was a child and suffered some stuff. And I hope she works through that. But, it seemed to miss out crucial information like the fathers colon cancer and other things and so the whole it isn’t about my sister, was not really true. This made it feel inauthentic. I felt like the author was not very self aware and understanding of her own toxicity, so the book was not an easy read, at some point I cringed for the author. It addressed her sisters court testimony and she gave hers. It was all very strange. A strange way to write a book and a strange way to address all the public matters regarding her sister. I don’t know, just weird!
