This moving piece of cinema highlights the huge effort that the Sherpa makes to satisfy the commercial whim of tourists to their country. After a devastating loss of life the Sherpa respected their dead and their families while the expedition members and leaders selfishly thought of their own financial loss. To camera a lead Sherpa told he hadn’t been threatened with violence and had to sit while his entitled capitalistic boss lied about threats and ‘terrorism’. Of the Sherpa and the foreign climbers I know in my mind who I respect more.
