(Disclaimer, I NEVER write reviews for books I read) This book was incredible. As a person who reads fantasy novels constantly, I was extremely pleased with this book. I took a gamble, as this is the first review for it so far and some of the indie books on here are hit or miss, but I do not think I could have made a better purchase. I'd recommend this book for anybody who enjoys immense world building and well written characters. It looks like this is going to be a series, I cannot wait until the next one comes out! (SPOILERS BELOW) The two main characters, Elurra and Terrin are thrust into the world of "magic" as they are tasked with stopping Elurra's evil aunt who is trying to use demons to gain control of the whole continent. With the help of a lovable band of misfits (the pirates are my absolute favorite characters), they find out if they have what it takes to save the world. My favorite scenes are probably the sea monster scene for how action packed it was, and the library scene towards the end for how hilarious it was. Ms. Dixon, if you are reading this, thank you!
