Great character study. Actors intense feelings made a sympathetic audience of me (and many others I`m sure others). German Navy was our "enemy " during WW II yet my sympathies were with this submarine crew as they a disaster at sea and all they wanted was to go "home". Well done actors brilliantly portrayed hope and discouragement.The Nazi uniform was not a factor in our rooting for their safe return. A well done film 5 star rating.
