I'm ashamed to admit that I "accidentally" watched this movie in this morning's pre-dawn hours--many months after it was filmed. It's hard to command my attention for any length of time, but I'll say that I was absolutely glued to this wildlife documentary. Filmmaker Casey Anderson accomplished something far deeper & more meaningful than the "Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom" which represented my childhood in that he added so much heart & respect for these magnificent mountain lions, the challenges they face to survive, & helped me to intimately understand aspects of their lives which I didn't realize beforehand that I actually *needed* to know. I'm not easily brought to tears by wildlife documentaries--the "laws of the wild" aren't always fair or easy by human standards & I realize that. But this was an emotionally powerful movie which left me in awe of both the filmmaker & his "family" of mountain lions--& I deeply appreciate the education I received by watching this.
