@HeadlessMindEearthling summed up everything that I had to say. I thought I was the only one who got disappointed by the movie. It was really hyped up, I agree. What made it even more astonishing is that I can’t find a single bad review! I was really looking forward to watching it, I’m a fan of Gaga’s but this movie is just too disappointing for me. The characters are unrelatable and the script is awful and almost too corny to watch. I was cringing most of the time. Their voices are amazing, as you can expect from Gaga. Bradley proved to be a great singer too. But I now suspect that maybe this movie is just a way for Bradley to get into music? Or directing? And for Gaga to get into more serious acting? (I heard she did a fantastic job in AHS though). I’m not sure why they did this movie, they made it sound like they prepared so much which makes you expect nothing but the best but... it was a really terrible movie for me. The trailer is awesome though, it evoked emotions more than the movie did.
