Me and my friends spend the vast majority of our time just driving around the map, and that's the best parts of the game. Tuning a car to where it feels just right and tearing up the streets has been one of the finest past times a game has offered. The story missions make you feel like a badass. However. The whole 2/2.5 stars removed from the rating goes to the basic races thrown around the map. It's littered with them, and it seems to be what they expected us to spend our time on. Though several of us have noticed those races are abnormally difficult, in the sense that all drivitars perform with absolute precision. Seemingly taking sharp turns with a tap of the brakes, while we flutter race brakes a dozen times leading up, only to hard drift and spin off into the bushes. It feels like the games physics adjust slightly, because we drive all day without sarcastically spinning out on every turn.
Yesterday I quit a race because I was quite unable to take turns that felt like I was listing lazily to the left, but after I quit and began just driving around the issue was gone, and I was free to drive fast again. Let me know if I just perform like garbage under pressure or if they are making the physics hyper realistic for your car only when in solo races.
