I must admit that tamil filmmakers are getting so much evolved and creating good movies. Penguin is one of the best thriller i have watched in past few months, and surprisingly you may not experience the language barrier because the storyline is so engrossing and connecting that you might forget what language they’re talking and just get emerged in the storyline. The background music is star here goes so well with the thriller. Everything whether the acting (especially by the lead KREETHY SURESH), storyline and the visuals, all were so good that one must go through it. The only thing bothered me was the last 15 minutes, the climax, the motive of all the happenings was so stupid and outdated as 80’s 90’s like the same biased treatment drama in between the siblings by the parents which made the other one devil and made her to take such cruel revenge. Not giving spoilers here, In short the story is about a pregnant lady who fights and solely faces all the trouble to find her kidnapped son and came across some thrilling and psychotic events. All and all a good movie which should be appreciated just ignoring the climax fact. Goooooo check it out on sabse sasta amazon prime——////

Gulabo sitabo : maati ka bartan hai maati me mil jana hai. Gulabo sitabo is like a cake without icing, which is sweet but somewhere lacks the taste because of its slow paced writing and screen play. Although it has an authentic touch with the brilliant acting by every character especially mirja played by the legend Amitabh bachchan. The Story revolves around the fatima haveli and the tenants living there, mirja who wants to get the ownership and the tenant played by Ayushmann k who at least wanted a place to live, both were doing their part to get what they wanted in a way which somewhere seems funny but sometimes starts getting boring. Overall it is good to watch one time especially because of the great performances. Moral: Laalachi logo ko 🔔 milta hai 🤣

This would have been better if it was rather a short film than a 100 Minutes no so bright storyline. Great actors with justified performances but of NO use and I’m not surprised by such low rating because people must have expected the vibe of rural india slightly like panchayat but there’s no point of similarity but a huge disappointment for those who have expected this to be as impactful as every Nawazuddin’s work. The lead “Ghoomketu” played by Nawazuddin was narrating the story where he describes his ambition to work for Bollywood as a writer and for that he left his village “Mahona” and went to mumbai. On the other hand a funny & weirdly obedient cop played by Anurag kashyap got the case of finding Ghumketu who left his village abruptly. The flashbacks and the backstory of the cop is irritating and might mess up your brain. Also the whole time the lead was sharing his experiences, stories and struggles in a comical way and end up losing all his dream and get back to his town. Where in the climax they tried to give an emotional touch but when you do not connect with the story, you cannot feel emotional. This is a movie you should watch with 0 expectation if you want to get something out of it. Just watch it if you like to see Nawazuddin and for a change Anurag kashyap on screen.

Pataal lok is a contrasting drama series, with complexity, authenticity and voraciousness. The story revolves arounds the history of the accused of their respective past crimes, who were now have been charged for attacking and planning a murder of well known and high profile journalist (like arnab🤣 jk), it mainly includes the determination and the fight of a policeman (the hero of the show) against the wrong decision taken by the CBI and get the actual story behind the case .The policeman’s suffers every now and then in his personal life as well and i must say it was one of the best written and perfectly played character by the legend jaideep ahlawat . Another favourite character was none other than TYAGI , played by Abhishek banerjee who barely had dialogues but his expressions were phenomenal and every time he appeared on screen he created a huge impact. Other played their respective parts very well, especially the wife of journalist “DOLLY” , she was so adorable. Overall it was a well written and included factual based events, though it might get boring at time for some and start to become baffling but that’s fine because firstly it was authentic and climax will solve the puzzle in the mind . Pro: Actors with great performances . Con: complexity and the genre of the story, some people (including me )may not like the interference of political conflict in the climax. Ps . I am a dog lover. 🤣❤️
