I started watching this show and the first few episodes seemed promising. But then it just went downhill from there. There are so many plot holes in The Stranger. Firstly why did Corrine leave Adam when he confronted her about the fake pregnancy, even that story wasnt explained properly as Adam just assumed that Corrine faked her pregnancy so he wouldn't leave her. So Corrine leaves but then she still manages to meet up with Tripp, I mean WHY!!! Why didnt she tell Adam about Tripp stealing money???? Also not much information has been given as to why 'The Stranger ' starts blackmailing people, according to her its to get rid of secrets and lies from the world. I mean she's got secrets of her own though. Finally Phillip Katz's story is just too weird, why does he kill Haidi? There was no need for this as i dont understand what information was he going to get about the Stranger from Haidi? Why was his wife making their daughter ill? Overall i would not give it 85%, which is one of the reasons why i started watching it. Not very well written at all. Maybe the book is better than the series, but i will never know.
