The cast is very talented and the production is great but the plot is as toxic as any other Hollywood movie that praises the gangster lifestyle and mocks simple people, their usual disposable victims. If I were one of them (the elite of psychopaths that normally write and produce movies like that) I would avoid spreading this type of message for the people that pay tickets to watch movie putting themselves in the ridicule position of the simple, naive, thrifty, stupid person. Revolutions already started from simple things like that, providing they keep insisting in the same message, over and over.

One of the greatest movies ever made by Hollywood (as said by the philosopher Zizek, which I agree). On the surface it looks just like another trash b movie but in reality it brings the truth (metaphorically speaking) on our neoliberal melancholic global society. It must be watch and rewatched.

Another very nice movie undermined by iMDB unexpected (and kinda suspicious) low rating

First time I watched it I didn't get what is now obvious to me. This is a dark comedy, not a horror movie. It's kind of subtle but you can see it even in the casting where there are comedians in major roles. Great jump scary horror comedy to watch during Halloweens

Yet another watered version of the already watered down late Star Wars saga, now even more shamefully targeted to the teen public, coated with great scenes, great performances and top celebs. The protagonist depicts once again the typical frail and introspective teenager whose deeper egoistic dream is to be the center of the universe, full of power, glory and in a reality where adults are basically stupid, nuisances or stereotypical buffoons. For me this type of story just keeps cashing in over this teen's distortion of reality, furthering the damage that media has been done to society over the last half century. By making young adults keep thinking they are inherently special and smarter than adults, they will secretly expecting to be discovered. This goes on till they are no longer young. As nothing of special happens in their lives, they feel betrayed, turn into bitter and depressed adults, and so easy targets of other industries such as tobacco, alcohol, processed food, drugs, entertainment, eventually becoming actual stereotypical buffoons for the next generation.

masterpiece ... so bad that it's perfect

This movie is superb and very necessary! I still didn't get why its ratings are so low (normally this means some sort of cancellation, like what happened to "Antiviral" ... I mean, 25% in RT is ludicrous). The plot is a perfect metaphor of how humans are their own worst enemy and, even more importantly, how authoritarianism spontaneously emerge in meticulously created and seaming perfectly balanced societies. Fantastic movie! Note: I was reading along the 1 star reviews in an attempt to understand how can a person with a functional human brain inside the skull can get enraged by this movie. Well, it turns out that many are "canceling" the movie just because there are sensitive scenes in it, like (spoiler) a black woman and an Indian guy who are murdered, or an attempt of raping. Most of people now stop reasoning and are just Pavlovian reacting. No wonder this movie is so great as it depicts exactly this type of human stupidity.

Great underrated movie, from the same director of Antiviral (also wonderful and underrated). For me, both movies deserve higher iMDb ratings (at least 8 for Antiviral and 7.5 for this one). Normally I agree w/ iMDb but when this sort of mismatch happens is because the movie somehow underwent cancellation for being considered offensive by a ideological group. These movies will go to history as the famous "They Live" that Zizek once called a "hidden pearl".
