Wow! The point of this movie seems to sail over your head, Peter Gum. The point is that reasoned, cool debate is becoming increasingly unwelcome on campuses whose purpose is to nurture the hearing and consideration of all points of view and expose them to rational thinking. What are you doing to enable the kind of discussion which you say you advocate? Are you counter demonstrating against the intolerant left who cover their ears and demand that conservative voices leave their campuses in favor of hearing them out? When debate can't even take place, we can't hear all sides. That's the point of the movie: our first amendment right to free speech (of all sides) is quickly being circumvented in lieu of mob rule and snowflake mentality which calls opposing views "offensive" instead of hearing them and rationally and respectfully vetting them. When this right/free speech is completely snuffed out, our freedom goes with it.
Another way to think about it: when you, at some point, disagree with your leftist brothers, you'll be treated with the same contempt as conservative voices. Freedom is meant to be enjoyed by all in this country. We can agree to disagree, but to shut down the discussion is unconstitutional for you and me.
