This movie takes you back to the 80s, reminding you, "Wait--COVID is the not first terrifying epidemic to tear through the population in my lifetime." This is a movie about frightened people realizing no one was going to fight for them--they had to pick up swords themselves.

C'mon---it's a fun movie we watch every single time it comes on, which is pretty damn frequently. Cornball is often needed and the cheerleader sequences alone make it worth a view. It's sweet and I love the use of unknowns in most roles

Oh, c'mon. Men like it because Samuel L. Jackson is funny and women like it because of all those loving, leisurely shots of Tarzan's shoulders, abs and groin.
