We have watched a LOT of Netflix during Covid-19 and this has to be the absolute worst show we've watched. The only reason we hung on to the bitter end was to see how the train wreck of Jane's life would play out. Ha...barely a whimper. A bored suburban wife who works as a psychiatrist in the city ends up compromising all of her patients, destroying her marriage, and not paying much attention to her 9 year old daughter (who may have gender identity issues) all while looking to have a more exciting life on the edge. Some of the characters were never explained, many of the actors looked like each other, and Naomi Watts blithely continues to smile. She is dishonest to the core, to every she comes across including her own family. We waited for her to implode when everyone was catching on to her tricks but nope...just another gotcha smile directed at her young female lover. I can certainly understand why Netflix cancelled this show shortly after it debuted. My question now is, why bring it back? Are they scraping the barrel of things for us stuck at home to watch? It gets 1 star only because I could not leave it blank.
