This is my favourite film. It reminds me of being a boy of 18 and a big fan of Mark Knopfler - I had to see this film. It's quite literally the perfect movie for me, and there's no point me giving a review, as there are plenty folk much better than me able to do that. However, I should mention that I've probably watched Local Hero more than a dozen times, and the end will ALWAYS make me cry.
