The show is well written, exciting, emotional. It is obvious that it is quite a step up from the Rai Animated Orginal Winx Club, but they have explained that it is for an older audience, as a fan of Winx since a kid I have enjoyed it. Though some character changes have upset me, I quite enjoyed the tension and drama that is ongoing throughout the episode. The only complaint is that it is only 6 episodes per season! Honestly, so good!!! The show itself started from scratch, it explored the emotions of all 5 girls in a new environment, the character changes mentioned above have driven the new plot/storyline. For example,(spoilers ahead) the reason for no big-glam-up transformation can be assumed that it does look better only animated, nonetheless in the first episode explained that fairies have evolved and do not need transformation. For those who have seen the final episode, bloom does transform and pleases the audience who have been yearning for them. Referring back to my point: it does cover up the changes made from the animated version.
At the heart of Winx Club there is friendship: which has been captured STUNNINGLY! I loved it
