Gretel and Hansel was boring to me. It did not feel like a fairytale. To be honest it felt like a low budget tried to scare you horror flick. The producer of this movie should have taken notes about the remade version of Cinderella. I think where this movie fell is at staying true to the essence of the original Hansel and Gretel fairytale. The remake of Cinderella had a few embellishments and improvisation in terms adding on to the plot but it did not make a 360 turn away from the heart and soul of the original story. However, I did see some potential in the movie at its inception, afterwards it just became more and more boring. I would fall the sleep and wake back up hoping that the movie would pick up but it was moving at the same boring pace, so I would fall back to sleep. The next time I awoke the credits were coming down the screen and I was relieved. But I felt I had wasted my time and gas.
