Rumbidzai Hungwe

It was a really good show. Not gonna lie, there were a lot of overused tropes in this drama except for kidnapping and being hit by a truck, everything else that you can imagine was there. I don’t mind as long as it’s logical and goes with the flow of the story or it enhances the main couples romance. I got frustrated with the repetitive nature of the show. It could have easily been completed in 18-20 episodes and no major plot point would have been lost or not fully fleshed out. They actually did a disservice to the finale by not showing us what happened to the main couple considering they had amazing chemistry! There was a lot of focus on the side characters which was a bit sad considering I enjoyed watching the interaction between Nanxiang and Nuan. They had amazing chemistry and that’s what led me to watch almost all 48 episode (with a lot of fast forwarding). Acting, wardrobe and ost were fantastic.

Towards the end, there are a lot of illogical things that take place. Other than that, the film got me to open my mind more about being deaf and mute. I also liked the use of sound in the film, that was done well. 🙃
