I fell in love with this show after watching the first episode but somewhere around episode 3 it became troublesome. On the surface it is coming of age story about a gifted kid from the projects dealing with many social ills. He has a best friend who is being abused at home by his mother and soon-to-be stepfather. The truth is, this is a show exposing black boys to homosexuality. There is a drag queen who is the "mother" of the building they all live-in. A runaway gay kid who was being protected by a group of trans-women prostitutes. And in the last episode they allude to the toughest teen drug-dealer being on the down-low. Then it appears that David and his friend Seren may be falling in love with each other. Sigh
