No movie of late that has ever explored the mind of the mentally challenged like A Beautiful Mind. We get an establishing shot in 1947. Russel Crowe is cast as Professor Nash whose performance is lauded in this tell of triumph of human spirit. You can see him trapped in the self-consciousness of his strange Malady (Schizophrenia). What to take from this film is that there are three distractions of life which were metaphorically portrayed by three figment 'friends' of Nash; the academic, the work life and the relational which were all finally in interplay. Most delusions are buildups with a climax which often leads to a mental health crisis or relapses. To build trust the abstract friends were helpful in trivial things and most importantly the delusions have to match your intelligence.

Life affirming tale of the fragility of human nature when disability knocks. It has some lazy moments in the beginning but stick around it will payoff. Kevin Hart proved that he's not just another comedy fit, he can act.

The movie digresses from one thing to another. As you get involved in a certain narrative then something else surfaces. All you hope for is not how it ends but when it ends.

Very moving movie which is permeated with numerous undertones of complexity of humanity. The grieving during post war and how tragedy connects souls in ways you could never imagine. It also overtly sends an unsettling message for communes. How each one of us has pair which fits the missing pieces of our puzzle. A kind of lock and key. Themes of love, lust, forgiveness and loneliness are recurring in this brilliant but underrated feature.

A dark tale serves its purpose which is to squeeze life out of you, blow your mind in unsettling ways. It takes you on a journey at the edges of humanity and depravity. I liked it all the way except the idea of open ending. As part of the audience i longed a sobering scene "crime and punishment".

Naomie Harris pulled off an enviable performance that makes you ignore a cliché plot. The feel of the film was well orchestrated by rightly plucked knots.

Stimulating and thought provoking. Rian Johnson cooks as he teases your anticipation.

1917 depicts the horrors and depravity of war in a quiet yet intense sequences that leave you yearn for sanity and dignity of human kind. Sam Mendes carves out a visual story to reckon with.

The movie digs deep into your skin. Love doesn't come easy for Queen and Slim but it pays off with colorful fireworks. Lena Waithe screen play is organic from the start.
