As a fifth generation Texan, I like the show and it’s historical aspects even recognizing it is a fictional drama. However, I NEVER watch it “live”! There are too many interruptions of advertisements. It seems like every seven or eight minutes there is a series of up to fifteen ads, usually the same ones over and over. It is exasperating to say the least. So, we record the show on DVR and watch it on a slow TV night or start watching in DVR about 15 minutes or so after the live show starts and skip through the ads. I think thirty minutes of the show is drama and 30 minutes ads. It’s ridiculous!
