As an Australian, I found the level of unrealistic events extremely painful. I think it started promising with great thrilling scenes, and amazing views of Australian scenery. Unfortunately, it quickly turned into every cheesy movie ever where the American character somehow individually outsmarts and defeats this deadly reptile which said in the movie itself that had been evolving and perfecting their hunting skills for over 200 million years. However, because of the “heroic American” stereotype, we as an audience somehow have to see all his actions not as unrealistic optimism and that he instead would be the first victim of the vicious crocodile, but that we should be thankful that he saved us when no one else could of done so, not even the Australians that have been living alongside the salt water crocodiles. If not the scene where he unrealistically kills the crocodile, the worst part was the ending where upon a Muriel-like wall of countless news reports of deaths and hunting, in the centre of this was a picture of our “hero” next to the headline along the lines of “American saves us from deadly crocodile”. Would not recommend if you have good taste in movies. 🤮🤮🐊🐊
