Bill Brennan

Having seen dozens of movies in my lifetime, I can honestly say I have never had a movie make me feel as bad as this movie did. I have to give credit where credit is due; Joaquin Phoenix gave an Academy Award performance. That doesn’t change the fact this movie takes you to deep, dark places that in our current world of fear and anxiety, we don’t need people to go. Saying it’s dark and scary doesn’t really cover it.
