Having been a participant in the type of encounters represented here, these can be quite healing, but they are sacred. The professionals that conducted the encounter workshops I attended were very clear with their boundaries and kept professional distance. This show suggests that being a friend with your intimacy coach will get you more of what you want in the bedroom and get you on a Netflix show. This show illustrates a blurring of professional boundaries and gave me a yucky feeling.: it felt exploitive of something sacred. Since when can regular people in society become friends with their therapists and coaches? This show just represents another way celebrities can get away with things normal people can't in the name of money. I would encourage anyone looking at this show to honestly research the integrity of a professional/client relationship and their respective code of ethics. Ethics is what keeps things emotionally safe and sacred when exploring something as sacred as sex and intimacy.
