The movie open with a Sarah Tan and Jessica Hsuan alighting from a cab that reads Welcome To Guangzhou.I thought the film is set in Malaysia?I only watched this film because I love Ti Lung,the grandfather who mispronounced Sarah's name as 'Salah' or wrong for Malay.Never mind the license plates of all vehicles were not Malaysian,at 1:02:58,Ti Lung compensated a Triad Member in Chinese Currency.Since when Malaysian Ringgit has Chinese Characters?This scene is so cliche in Asian movies it's painful to watch.Most Malaysian Chinese speak Cantonese by the way but I understand the producers had marketing reasons.It's shocking this film won awards.The children's acting was alright except Sarah.Not convincing enough.The predictable story was fine but I don't think it's something you can watch Twice.

The movie is bad on do many levels.No cop is as dumb as portrayed by Avan.I couldn't wait for his character to die and it didn't.Please fire the script writers.Bad CGI monster effects.The directors couldn't make up their minds whether to make a horror or zombie movie.You know fans would compare but you still produced this?Waste of gifted very talented actors like Kaya,Hannah, Robbie,Neil and Tom.If there is a sequel,please for goodness Resident Evil fans sake,give Avan a better script.
