Many media outlets paint Star Wars fans on different ends of extreme spectrums. SO am I the the toxic Star Wars fan because I loved Rise of Skywalker? Or am I the toxic fan who hated The Last Jedi? Neither! I watched Last Jedi the night before Rise of Skywalker opened. Then we went to see the movie with my 10 year old son and my wife the next morning at at 530am. After the movie, my son said, "best movie ever", and I have to say, for his young age, that he is right in thinking that. I have to say unequivocally, I really love both movies. They each had their own story to tell and the wow-sized special effects to tell it with. The only thing I consider a bad omission was having not having more character arc for Rose Tico! But you can also say the same of the new character Zorii. I do realize, at a 166 minutes long, some scenes may have been but. Here's hoping for one day, a special directors longer cut is forthcoming.
