As a millennial, I didn't grow up with this show when it first aired but did watch the syndicated reruns on TV Land in the 2000's and I am a fan, so I can see why many people, particially those who grew up in the 60's and 70's have such of an incredible fondness for a series that ended abruptly. The Bugaloos is about four lovable bugs who live in Tranquility Forest, a peaceful forest where they perform as a band, They are, I.Q. the tall blonde handsome grasshopper guitarist of the group. Courage who is a short blonde and handsome ladybug drummer of the group, Harmony who is a tall, black and handsome honeybee keyboardist and then there is the beautiful lovely Joy the butterfly vocalist who also plays the tambourine. The Bugaloos live in this tranquility landscape with a firefly pal called Sparky who was adopted by The Bugaloos. Their nemesis is a crazy witch- wanna be singer Benita Bizarre who lives in a giant jukebox with her henchmen a rat chaffier called Funky Rat and two stereo robots called Woofer and Tweeter. Despite it lasting for two years (One in reruns) The Bugaloos has remained a beloved show, for 48 years this series has a huge fanbase and it is considered a cult classic. Do I recommend this series absolutely, there are lessons for both kids and adults such as helping others and caring for the environment. Adults will always find something to laugh at and kids will have fun. The music is catchy and many of the songs The Bugaloos are wonderful. My favorite character is Courage, he's such a tough guy yet he's so caring. I also like the villain Benita Bizarre, she's so funny. I recommend this show.
