Working as a social worker I would say this series has done a great job at circling back to all the challenges people in our society face. It has revealed the truth, the day to day struggle of surviving through any means for yourself and your child / children. It literally tallied down her finances, and showed how other individuals in our lives can cause several barriers towards our success. It showed how difficult and tedious it is to receive any kind of real governmental assistance in this capitalist country that we live in. As she stated in the series, “Being homeless is a full time job”. You gotta maintain your hustle, paperwork, applications, meetings, counseling sessions,,… etc. There’s so much more that people don’t recognize. I hope they come out with a second season. This show was real.
