Amazing writing, characters and acting. Seamlessly traverses the line between comedy and drama with an authentic "eighties" feel. Fastidious attention to detail. Heart-warming, brutal, tragic and hilarious all at the same time. A real tribute to "the famiily" with all its flaws minus the saccharine sentimentality. In the same vein, it is an affectionate "love letter" to Newcastle. Best series I have seen in ages...... can't wait for season 3!
