After reading ‘My Life In Full’ by Indra Nooyi.
I liked the book. A beautiful book I finished in just 4 days after a longish time keeping up with my office commitments, working as a full time mother with husband gone on his official duty and managing house chores. “I feel like I am doing a 3 full time jobs”- u will get a glimpse of this sentence if u r reading this book.
One prime thing this book spoke to me was that, we all must keep working hard no matter what, just keep working hard.
Don’t loose what you love the most coz eventually that will bite you. Just hold on and try to keep finding solutions.
It’s is not wrong to care for your child and still be a miraculous women at the top of the corporate ladder and do not allow the male occupied business world to make you feel otherwise. If u say your child is sick, u r considered as someone weak who might not put her job first- this is an unspoken reality in the corporate world. Just give it back to people who think like this. You should be respected on the work you deliver and nothing else.
And the last thought——-
I think with the kind of corporate environment and policies a male job has, I as a lady of the house have been compelled to become a full time provider for my daughter along with somehow managing my office work.
This sickens me
I had to leave my core
I had to face wrath to an extent of getting mocked at times. Off course I am not in my playing field. I choose to try and balance being a mother and somehow providing for the family. I want that little independence and happiness when the pay check comes every month. I cannot trade that at all.
But I still feel, organisations especially need to target men’s jobs considering their wives are also working for a corporate and they have hired a man with a family which involves Childcare. A woman cannot continue doing 3 full time jobs while the men are expected to do one.
…
All in all, I will give this book a 5 star rating just so that I could relate to it so much.
