I fast forwarded through most of it, it was quite boring… I just wanted to see what happened in the end. The mother role goes from being absolutely terrified of everything, giving into handcuffing herself, freaking out every minute to killing people? Her ‘shadow’ person voice also it’s incredibly annoying as it’s not consistent and the monologue at the end hurts my head. Dads useless… Spoiler. End dying scene was terrible acting. Glad I fast forwarded because I guessed the ending it wasn’t really a shocker.

I waited for it to be free on something and I’m glad I did, wasn’t worth it to go to the cinema I would have fallen asleep. Americas characters speech was the most empowering part of it, Margot Robbie and Greta compared to other acting roles that won Oscar’s was the right decision. Whilst I understand the effort behind the scenes, there was little effort into the actual acting part compared to her other roles. Alan’s character was awesome.

Spoilers *** Clearly I’ve watched too many thrillers during lockdown to know when some are very obvious. It was okay. The first time they were broken into I thought ok, but then he puts in all the locks, new phones with tracking blah blah blah usual husband is a controlling psychopath, there’s a missing girl whose family worked on the house, storyline. The wife looking around so much was a little boring, kept waiting for him to catch on his character was obviously smart enough to realise. He built a dungeon and kept catching her in the office. She had no decent excuses. How does she click on ‘oh don’t rattle the chains, everyone will hear upstairs’.. but living in the house herself never heard? All in all usual type of psychological thriller that you catch the story line from the start. Anyone looking for twists you never see coming try ‘The Cry’ a short series.

The only emotion the movie gave me was the ending, made me grateful I have my son. I just kept waiting… for something… There is no real plot twist, no surprises, nothing exciting about the characters. *Spoilers* How does she start having contractions then goes on a silent rescue mission, showing no sign of contractions. ‘A Quiet Place’ did this 100% better. How does she have a baby screaming, bleeding in a wheelchair rolling down the hallway but can keep a gate closed against A LOT of androids with a karate kick pose and hit that button…. Pffft. They couldn’t outrun them on a motorbike but she can keep them out of the cage with her foot. The baby crying and no androids chase her until she gets to the EMP? The babies crying sound is so loud it drowns out anything else going on throughout that whole scene. There’s no back stories. There’s no other main characters. You can straight up spot the Android. How did this start trending on my Netflix???
