‘Ghost Writer’ as a statement, reminds us that sometimes the most unassuming characters in life remain to be the most powerful unsung heros and villains. Powerful and intelligent, the film geniusly sets up its viewers to assume plot and character motives: though sharp and smart, the pacing and length of the film may not keep all viewers engaged for the entire ominous ride. Since it is placed in the thriller genre, this the only reason I can’t give the film 5 stars.

Beautiful production value and visuals, but I would have loved to see more dialogue a story development. I wish there was more of a differentiation between the African references because there were elements of so many different Black cultures in single shots, which made it feel very costume-y and not accurate to the very diverse cultures within Africa. Visually, or as a music video, I'd give it a solid 4; as feature film, a solid 2.
