A movie that could have gone in so many directions really ended up going to one of its most boring. SPOILERS!!! The first 90 minutes of this movie were an absolute snooze fest + choosing locus to be the main premise of the movie is lame as all hell. DO NOT get me started on the clone girl, a horrible character (great actress) from the last movie was made even worse by somehow becoming the result of an a-sync birth... (you read that right). Dinosaurs were basically not even in this movie unless needed to keep audience entertained. The final 30 minutes of this movie is its saving grace, Jurassic World actually becomes Jurassic and its awesome. The fights are intense and the characters are funny (talking to you Ian Malcom). Overall, I wish this movie had gone in a different premise but was not too terrible. Still proves the point that Jurassic Park should have ended at one or gone the Top Gun route with making a sequel around this many years later that had actual quality instead of quantity in it.

If this rating system offered a 4.5 rating I would give it that. This movie is better than ghostbusters II but not as good as the original. Its characters are super interesting besides Phoebe's brother who almost did nothing this movie besides fall in love with some other character that does not do too much. I think Gozer could have done a bit more in this movie and that the return of the OGs could have been drawn out a little more than just being out of mf nowhere after a single phone call. Do not get me wrong once the OGs are back it is amazing but there is almost no build up to it which makes it seemed more forced than rewarded. Overall the movie is super interesting. I love the premise of this just not being some new generation of Ghostbusters, it is Egon being stuck in a state where he can not pass onto the afterlife and knows the only way to be at peace is to allow his grandkids to complete his plan. The ending of this movie almost made me cry Harold Ramis is treated better than anybody could have ever expected from a Ghostbusters movie.

In comparison to ALL other movies including Stranger Tides, Dead Men Tell No Tales is a horrific film. For the average movie go-er this movie is just fine; good villian with fun, over the top action. But to those who have religiously watched the other movies this is a disgrace. Firstly it ignores what makes Captain Jack special, his hidden intelligence. In this movie he is instead displayed as a pure idiot who is just lucky. The compass is also treated poorly, it was described that he bought it from Tia Dalma in the second/third movie and now he just gets it as "tribute". The only upside about this movie is Salazar (who according to the now rules of the compass should have been released during At World's End but we do not get into that). The villian is quite good and menancing, a good step up from Blackbeard. All I have to say is that I hope Disney never makes another POTC movie, especially with that after credits scene and no Johnny Depp (bringing back Jones is a cash grab that disregards the complete arch of his character).
