Of course there is much to love about this film. The style, the dialogue, how very good ALL the actors are. The only thing that bothered me was that in this intricate movie about codes and people being good at what they do and focusing on that to the exclusion of all else, how does Macauley suddenly let this psycho Waingro into his crew???? His crew member Michael hasn't even met him until he picks him up for the robbery itself???? No practice? No planning? If this happened later when Macauley's code is starting to unravel, fine. But not right at the beginning.
Plus there should have been some recriminations or issues for Hanna's epically awful call to let them go when they would have gotten 6 months for breaking and entering and been off the street. Look how many people died as a result of that call. Should have been a scene where he gets some blowback for his selfish competitiveness.
