The show held so much promise after season one. However, after the first season the series began a slow descent due to some terrible writing. Today we see a bipolar series moved by bipolar storylines to form one hell of a mess.

The original cartoon cant be matched. Perhaps my son summed it up best. "Its 2 hours of my life dad that I'll never get back. It was a 2 hour meanderless sleigh ride without a destination." He's only 11yrs old, and rarely gives a bad review. But on my part I can say the artwork alone makes it well worth watching. It's a visual feast of wonder and splendor. It is without a doubt the greatest artwork ever created in any cartoon and it did so very well in capturing the amazing imagination of Dr. Seuss.
