For those who said that this is boring and pro refugee propaganda, you are morons. Why would you watch this movie if you have this viewpoint. It is clearly about the plight that they go through. I thought that it would incredibly thought provoking. She has they power to save these people, but then her yacht is too small and she risks them all drowning if she gets too close...but also stuck with the dilemma of knowing that doing nothing will also mean their certain death.
It is really powerful and working with médecins sans frontières myself, i can empathise with this being the reality, not propaganda. And why is she quiet in the end? It’s called shock. Just because we see people die in our work, doesn’t mean we don’t feel or breakdown. She felt she could’ve done more and didn’t, hence they died. But in reality, she did all she could in her situation. I found this movie raw and very real. Incredibly moving movie.
