The story of Cars shows by example, how to take the disadvantages of humiliation and ridicule, turn the situations around and make advantages out of them. The advantage for Lightning McQueen, in my opinion, was to take the uncertainties of Sally, settle down, gently enter her world and by being patient, give time a chance to work things out. His reward was gaining a worthwhile relationship with her.
