The way this movie is setup with historical events and footage you expect it to be historically accurate and true to times. It fails miserably. It's hard to keep up with what year it is because the actors look the exact same when they're fighting in the 70s as they do in current day. None of the characters' ages match up to the timeline of the movie. There's so many cheesy lines and lucky coincidences in the plot it's ridiculous. It also felt as though there's supposed to be some deeper message because of the clips of Muhammad Ali, MLK, and BLM, but the story doesn't support that message. It's really four African American vets arguing and betraying each for gold the entire film.
