I don't understand why do critcs hate this film, great character development is something you shouldn't be expecting in a monster movie. Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan, King Ghidorah and all the other kaijus that appeared look fantastic, the cinematography was great, the soundtracks were all very fitting and nostalgic and the overall tone of the movie was very consistent with no comedy moments. 4/5 IMHO
