What could have been an excellent plot (inspired from a famous Agatha Christie novel), some thrilling action scenes, and an engrossing cat and mouse chase became an insipid, slow-mo nostalgia train that used a lot of words to say nothing. So much potential, wasted. Srijit, do better. You had the seed of a good story, your own directorial brilliance (from your heyday), and three amazing actors to bring life to these interesting grey characters.

Rob Pattinson makes a great Batman. The movie was well-made, engrossing and didn’t feel like a stretch despite the runtime of 3 hours.

What a delightful film! Powered by witty dialogue, an innovative plot and brilliant performances by the lead cast, Enola Holmes is definitely worth a watch! And watch out for Millie Bobby Brown, she's an actor to reckon with! Tying the timelines of the first Reform Bill and how it impacts his forgotten sister Enola, to the initial days of Sherlock Holmes' career was quite innovative. I did not like the portrayal of Mycroft much as he is more calm, collected, and intelligent in the original Holmes books. I suppose Enola needed a villain in her life, an obstacle in her path to success and freedom. The gradual reconciliation between Sherlock and his sister was charming too. However the mother's storyline was rather unsatisfactory; we know she belonged to a militant suffragette group, but a lot of her backstory is still elusive. Looking forward to Enola Holmes 2 - hope we see more of Eudoria there. And what a delight it will be if we get a peek of Dr. Watson!
