Watched this documentary movie at the Playhouse Cinema in Perth tonight, with my husband and 3 other people comprising the entire audience. It was absolutely perfect! Just like settling down in your own livingroom with a few good friends, talking about the day-jobs, while having a wee dram and a laugh. I do like a wee whisky, but wouldn't normally have sought out a film about how it is made; I'm really glad we watched this - every single minute was a treat. Not only were the characters interesting and endearing, but the beautiful Scottish scenery - particularly on Islay - was wonderful. And the novelty of having subtitles added to an Islander talking in perfect English - presumably for the benefit of the American viewer - was hilarious. Highly recommended wee film, especially if you are Scottish, and proud of our national product.
