Having desperately wanting to see the rise of the Phoenix version of this character, I was left amazed and astonished at the way he carries this character and, in effect, film off. Quite mesmerising performance by him.. A gritty, powerful film, directed wonderfully and acted brilliantly.. the only further comment I could make to express how good this film is, is that the audience as they got up from their seats at the end could be heard saying, wow !! What a film.. what a performance!! Enough said in my book..
