This show is complex and has a deep soap opera structure that weaves across episodes. It is a triller that captures and hold you. However, it also is one of the best written shows with depth of character, rich theme related to racial and ethnic culture, strong lead women and minorities and so much more. African American women lead, and the number of powerful minority role models is better than almost anything else on the air. LGBTQ issues are strongly represented too.
