I really wanted to love this show and it started off pretty good but then devolved into a bunch of forced melodrama about relationships and bickering and arguing between people who are forcing sexual tension and other stuff that's really just not pivotal to the plot of the show. The show also has an unfortunate consequence of either the showrunners or the directors or somebody lets huge plot holes stay in the story with huge continuity holes. Even simple logical details like in the beginning of the series, when they have a casting of a Godzilla footprint.. if someone does a casting of a footprint it actually leaves a positive impression meaning that it sticks out, it doesn't sink in. I find it impossible to believe that this ragtag team of people with a low budget would be able to not only cast that huge of a footprint in the 50s but then make a negative cast of it and pour a mold of the indented footprint. Other careless examples are when they are traipsing through the tundra in Alaska, supposedly at the point of hypothermia nobody has their hoods on nobody has their faces covered because they thought it more interesting to see people's faces than have a realistic expression of how people should actually behave in the tundra. Just silly and careless. What the show has going for it is anything with Kurt Russell in it is pretty solid, most of the stuff set back in the forties and fifties is also pretty good; it's when they stray from the point of the story and the plot of searching for the monsters and trying to understand what they're doing that they mess up the story. The other thing that they messed up is those careless continuity and plot errors that they keep making that take away from the credibility of the story. The other thing I find extremely tiring is the animosity between the two new siblings; it feels forced and cliche. For reference I'm on episode 7.... and they are still leaning hard into the young adult drama. It seems as though this is the only way they can figure out how to stretch out this kind of story into an entire series. Update : I keep editing my review because it just keeps getting worse. They murder all things that are good with all the dumb stuff. Update: I just finished watching the last episode and I won't give you any spoilers about it but I will say that I'm cautiously optimistic for another season if they can adjust their storytelling in dial back all of the young adult over drama that they injected to make the story take longer. My father was gay, and I fully support the lgbtq community, but I kind of feel like the artificial injection of all the gay characters in shows lately is only coming across his pandering and not sincere. So hopefully they can button up their story writing or maybe even find some new writers because the story could still be pretty compelling and interesting.

A very rudimentary attempt at fantasy and suspense. All the worst tropes of movies like Twilight, Harry Potter, and Romeo and Juliet all mashed together in a rushed, and very dull story. I honestly can't understand how so many people seem to enjoy this as I've developed quite a headache from all the eye-rolling I've done during the first three episodes. If you're extremely bored and don't mind extra cheese, then maybe it's worth watching an episode or two until you can't stomach it anymore. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and pass. I'm sure this must be better in book form, but this is feels forced and a little dumb. --- I came back after attempting one more episode. The show is full of McGuffins. It's bursting at the seams with them. So many plot holes, it needs a dumb plot device to fill the ridiculous them.

Painfully predictable story. The acting is good but it's wasted on an extremely weak storyline. I am extremely disappointed in the show because I'm such a fan of the material. There are no surprises no plot twists, barely any plot at all. It's a shame but not surprising that Netflix would try to bank on the success of The Witcher, it's sad that they didn't put more time or effort into a good storyline. The concept of the show could be magnificent, the source of everything the source of the Witcher before men walked the earth... love it. It's just too bad the story sucks. I don't have a problem with all the cultures represented and including gay characters isn't a big deal to me. Some people are complaining simply because of these but that's not the problem of the show. It's an utter lack of cohesive storyline and dialogue. The show is beautiful to look at but it's wasted on this story.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

The second worst Marvel movie next to The Eternals. Full of so many corny tropes, Sam Raimi ruined a perfect opportunity for a great movie. Being a fan of the first Doctor Strange movie, it pains me to say this movie was terrible. Even little things like sorcerers conjuring cannons to fight with but then having to manually reload them, just silly. I let out so many heavy sighs and eye-rolls I felt like I was going to pass out by the end of the movie. The first Doctor Strange movie is immensely more entertaining, this one is just corny. Wanda story felt forced and over-acted and using the excuse of wanting to be with her imaginary children was worn to the nub in Wandavision so taking it further in this movie just made it stupid and overly predictable. This movie was filled with cheese ball one-liners and dialog like from the fourth Terminator movie when you got sick of hearing Schwarzenegger spout yet another one-liner at the end of every action scene. This is a major fumble for Sam Raimi.
