A very rudimentary attempt at fantasy and suspense. All the worst tropes of movies like Twilight, Harry Potter, and Romeo and Juliet all mashed together in a rushed, and very dull story. I honestly can't understand how so many people seem to enjoy this as I've developed quite a headache from all the eye-rolling I've done during the first three episodes. If you're extremely bored and don't mind extra cheese, then maybe it's worth watching an episode or two until you can't stomach it anymore. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and pass. I'm sure this must be better in book form, but this is feels forced and a little dumb.

I came back after attempting one more episode. The show is full of McGuffins. It's bursting at the seams with them. So many plot holes, it needs a dumb plot device to fill the ridiculous them.
