My late friend Werner Stocker survived these camps. He was then held against his will in France for ten years following World War II for reparations. Werner finally escaped by foot and came back to Germany literally from the dead. The German title for this book is "Planned Death."

This book is written as a novel and contains the brutal truth of aerial warfare during World War II. I knew the author and respect this account for what it represents. Frederic was a most talented man. He left us a final masterpiece in his sculpture "Lest We Forget The Mission." History has many sides, even in fiction.
