Scott Beale

The first book, Red Rising, is fairly derivative of various young adult dystopian series and classic science fiction, but is extremely well executed and written. If you enjoyed the Hunger Games as a teenager you owe it to yourself to come to this series and recapture that spark of teenage rebellion. The narration of the audiobook is also excellent. Tim Reynolds' Irish accent is perfect for the setting.
