Sulphur Springs, an amazing series on the Disney Channel is one of the best of ANY adult or kids programming that I have ever seen on any channel. Although fiction, it gives an accurate and fairly realistic depiction of life in a typical Southern city at a time of racist tendencies and tensions and treats the subject matter with the respect and consideration that it deserves. Louisuana is considered one of the most haunted of all 50 states. The Springs and subsequent “haunted“ issues of an abanded hotel purchased by a white couple with three children serves as the backdrop of a tale of evil events that occur with a “time machine“ portal to the past and attempts to discover how to possibly correct negative occurrences while combining positive relationships between several black and white families is a beautiful and meaningful way that demonstrates the power of cooperation, compassion, and truth with a controversal subject regarding acceptance of race. It also shows that a boy, regardless of race or color can be a genius who is capable of an extraordinary invention that would change the world and how people can learn to accept what they never thought they could.

Bureau of Magical Things is one of the best series’ I have ever seen for children and adults. It is an absolute gem of a wonderful story about magic starring quite talented actors from Down Under (Australia) and is entertaining with both an imaginative and creative approach to the story of young magical teens learning how to use and control their abilities as elves and fairies in their own world and in the human world as protective overseers, indivisible to human beings, mostly, but able to be visible under variable circumstances. It is respectful and filled with love and hope.

Freaks was a good movie, but a bit confusing as to the “powers” that Chloe and others in the movie had. I questioned whether the characters were from Earth, but at a much later future Earth. Or, perhaps, they were from another planet living in an inter dimensional plane in another reality. This was, and is, confusing. The acting was wonderful, but I don’t understand how different beings, although they look human, relate to us, although with abilities we don’t have. 🤔
